QX-RFLM-10 sound
recorder module (Item No. #D01, #D11)

QX module

Evaluation board |
This is a 10 seconds solid state
sound recording IC. A 10 second sound can be recorded many times. The
sampling rate is 6.4 kHz. S
The module is
measured 45mm by 25mm by 15mm. To form a complete sound recording and replaying device,
you require three switches (one for recording, one for re-play and one for stop), one LED
to indicate recording status, one speaker (8 Ohms) and one electret microphone.
The module requires a power
supply from 4.5 V to 6.5 V DC. In recording and replaying modes, current consumption is
typically 25mA. In idle mode, the current drops to 0.05 m A.

QX-RFLM-20 sound recorder module (Item No.
#D02, #D11)

QX module

Evaluation board |
It is a 20 seconds solid state sound recording IC. The sampling rate is 6.4 kHz.
The module is
measured 45mm by 25mm by 15mm. To form a complete sound recording and replaying device,
you require three switches (one for recording, one for re-play and one for stop), one LED
to indicate recording status, one speaker (8 Ohms) and one electret microphone.
For this module,
the 20 seconds recorded sound can be programmed to replay once or continuously after a
PLAY button is pressed
The module requires a power
supply from 4.5 V to 6.5 V DC. In record and replay modes, current consumption is
typically 30mA. In idle mode, the current drops to 0.05 m A.

APR9600 sound recorder module (Item No.
#D04)

|
APR9600 is sound record/replay IC incorporating flash analogue storage
technique. Recorded sound is retained after power supply is removed from the module. The
replayed sound exhibits high quality with a low noise level.
Sampling rate for
a 60 second recording period is 4.2 kHz that gives a sound record/replay bandwidth of 20Hz
to 2.1 kHz. However, by changing an oscillation resistor, a sampling rate as high as 8.0
kHz can be achieved. This shortens the total length of sound recording to 32 seconds.
Total sound
recording time can be varied from 32 seconds to 60 seconds. The IC can operate in one of
two modes: serial mode and parallel mode. In serial access mode, sound can be recorded in
256 sections. In parallel access mode, sound can be recorded in 2, 4 or 8 sections. The IC
can be controlled simply using push button keys. It is also possible to control the IC
using external digital circuitry such as micro-controllers and computers.

The APR9600 experimental
board is an assembled PCB board consisting of an APR9600 IC, an electret
microphone, support components and necessary switches to allow users to
explore all functions of the APR9600 chip. The oscillation resistor is
chosen so that the total recording period is 60 seconds with a sampling rate
of 4.2 kHz. The board measures 80mm by 55mm. |

60 seconds multi-segment sound module
(Item No.
#D05, #D12)

Sound recorder

Evaluation board |
The
module allows up to 10 messages to be recorded and replayed using 10 keys. The module
contains an ISD2560 (60 second recording time) chip, an LM386N-1 audio amplifier and other
passive components.
- Best sound recording
quality in the Intec range
- 10 segment select switches are
used to record or play a sound track from the start of a particular segment. If the switch
is pressed continuously, sound will be recorded/played from the beginning of the segment
to the end of the total length (20 seconds or 60 seconds)
- On-board microphone recording, or
- Or audio line-in recording (<50
mV p-p)
- On-board audio amplifier with
volume control, 0.7 W for 8 Ohm speaker at 12V supply voltage
- Require 4-5.5V DC power supply for
the ISD chips and 4.5 to 12V to the andio amplifier. 150mA in active mode and 7 mA in idle
mode (power supply at 5V)
